It is all well and good if one’s baby is healthy and develops according to average milestones, but what if a baby develops differently? In reality, there is no perfect baby and they cannot be found for ordering either. Babies can just be loved and formed through positive experience, and then they may seem just perfect to the eyes of a parent.
There is a widely held idea that good babies come from good parents or are the result of good parenting skills. This is not so. There are a wide variety of reasons, and sometimes no clear reason why a child develops differently. If any parent is facing the scenario of a child who is developing differently to their peers, guilt may weigh heavily on the parent(s), with many unanswered questions. But there is hope, always hope. In each and every child there is a potential to become who they really are meant to be. Love and nurturing care, which involves positive interaction and interventions can make a difference. Who can know the potential of each child unless it is looked for and developed. This is also the same story of any child who develops differently. They are too a precious gift to parents, with potential to be unwrapped.
